As behavioral health providers, we find ourselves at a pivotal moment in healthcare legislation across the nation.
The West Virginia Behavioral Health Alliance is dedicated to championing our interests and amplifying our voices in the legislative arena. By fostering strong relationships between behavioral health providers and elected officials, we can ensure that our perspectives are included in critical decisions that impact our patients and the communities we serve.
The behavioral health landscape is evolving, and with it, the need for our voices to be heard has never been more crucial. As providers, we have a unique opportunity to influence policy and advocate for improved care delivery and better outcomes for those who depend on our services. To effectively do so, we need to present a unified front and enhance our visibility at the Capitol in Charleston.
In addition, it is the purpose of the Association to further behavioral health and related services, training, research, and evaluation activities within the State of West Virginia, and to effectively and consistently represent the experience of the local mental health/developmental disabilities/substance use disorder programs in successful communication, advocacy, and collaboration with State and local government, the State Legislature, related State associations, and the public at large.
